Why is my profit a very high negative number?

You may sometimes have a very high incorrect negative number in the profit column. This is usually because the purchase price was entered in pence rather than pounds. In order to rectify this click onto the "edit" tab next to the stock involved. On the next page which appears alter the purchase price by moving the decimal point across.
