Messages are removed for a variety of reasons.
The prime reason is that a message has been posted which is in breach of the discussion board terms and conditions. Other members of the community then bring this to our attention via neighbourhood watch (we do not monitor the boards) and the message is then removed.
If the message has been replied to, or was posted as a result of provocation then the preceding messages and the responses may also be removed.
Members who constantly post messages that are brought to our attention for being in breach of the discussion board terms and conditions or for posting messages which are not in keeping with the discussion boards and their purpose in general, may also have their account and their message history removed.
Please note that although a message is removed, it is not deleted altogether. All messages, including who posted or recommended them, the time they were posted and other relevant information is stored and will be provided to the appropriate authorities if required to do so by law.
Once a message has been removed it can not be re-instated.
