You must have sufficient cleared funds to place any buy orders or to transfer any cash out of your account. (Please note that the estimated value of the order plus an additional 10% margin must be available in your account for US 'at best' buy orders. This is to avoid the possibility of your account going overdrawn should the price increase rapidly.) The recent sales/purchases of stock and money transfers are also taken into consideration when calculating your available balances.

To view your cash available, look at the 'available to invest' box in the top right hand corner of the page within the Trading Application underneath the tool bar.
