Q. Why isn't my password working?
A. Passwords must be entered in the exact format they were issued. Make sure not to leave any spaces. Example: 466546478. If your password is not accepted you may need to check that the Input Locale/keyboard layout is correct. For example, check that you are not using US keyboard settings on a UK keyboard (as some keys are interchanged).
Q. I have forgotten my password.
A. If you have forgotten or lost your password please call Customer Services. We will only issue sensitive information over the phone if we can verify your identity.
Q. What if I enter the wrong password?
A. After entering your password incorrectly five times, you will receive the message 'Your account has been locked. Please call Customer Services.' This is a security measure. Please call Customer Services who will re-enable your login after verifying your identity.
Q. My user name and password are correct but when I log-in the blank log-in screen re-appears.
A. This problem is probably due to the settings of your internet browser. You must set your browser to enable cookies. To configure your browser, use the general settings below.
Q. Why are the markets and prices screens appearing as grey/white blank areas?
A. Depending on the version of java, your browser may not correctly display the trading area of the Interactive Investor Spread Betting website or even the live prices on the homepage. You must make sure that your browser is java enabled. Refer to the Java problems section for more information.
Q. I am unable to select markets on the online trading page.
A. You need to follow the instructions in our Java problems section.
Q. My chart windows appear too small and I am unable to resize them.
A. This is generally caused by your browsers default settings being changed. You can enable resizing of the chart window by doing the following: With the chart window selected, press the F11 key on your keyboard twice, which will enable you to use the window resize handles.
Q. Certain items on the page appear to be overwritten or missing.
A. You may need to adjust the text size with which you are viewing the website. Internet Explorer: from the menu at the top select 'View > Text Size' and adjust accordingly. Netscape Navigator: from the menu at the top select 'View > Text Zoom' and adjust accordingly.
