Wherever possible this site complies with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards. The original designs and templates were tested and validated against these.

All pages will display with any basic web browser, though most require XHTML and CSS 2 compliance for optimum effect. Using these methods enables us to separate the content from the layout whilst maintaining structured documents that are easier to navigate for all users, including those using specialist browsers for the physically impaired. This also has the added benefits of ensuring compatibly with future web applications, search engine optimisation and shortening page download times. Since these changes were applied many pages are two thirds smaller than their original size.

Older browsers should have no difficulty viewing and navigating the site, though pages will display with a simpler layout and style.

A few pages may require Javascript to enable full functionality. Currently the DesktopTrader and Informer subscription services use Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer* specific features.

*For reasons of personal security we recommend that Microsoft Windows users ensure their browser is kept up to date with all issued patches and upgrades.
** Internet Explorer 5 on the Mac is no longer supported by Apple or Microsoft. Apple recommend you upgrade your OS from 9 to OS X and use a browser such as Safari or Mozilla Firefox.
