This is the online ability for you to initiate online a transfer of your current account (whether it is a Trading / ISA or SIPP account) from your current provider(s) to Interactive Investor. You may want to do transfer in to take advantage of our low trading costs and no administration fees, or you may want to simply consolidate all your holdings into one place, where you will have continual access.

You can, where available, make these transfers either as a unit transfer or as a cash transfer. Please login to your account and select the Manage My Account option and then Transfers for further information.

The "Unit Transfer" method is where the ownership of the funds is re-registered into the name of Interactive Investor's nominee company operated.

The "Cash Transfer" method is where the units or shares in the funds you are invested in with your current provider are sold and the proceeds of that sale transferred directly to Interactive Investor for reinvestment.
You have the choice to reinvest the cash proceeds into the same fund or reinvest it in newly selected funds or shares or other investments.

With cash transfers you will be charged the normal initial charge applicable to the particular funds you have selected to reinvest in. This is not the case with unit transfers where no such initial charge is payable on transfer.
